(I was in a conversation recently on Facebook - that [thankfully] did not degenerate into name calling - about the women in Star Trek: Into Darkness, and specifically how Carol Marcus was basically there to be hit on. The male in the conversation, of course, said that we were taking it to seriously, over-reacting, and even that it’s not a big deal because harassment exists in the workplace today and women should be used to it. No joke. He said these things. But the best part - THE BEST PART - was when he said that he feels his opinions are often marginalized because he’s a man. ?!?!?!?! Yes, white male, I’m sure your opinions are often marginalized.)
