No, I’m not just going to let it go, though. This is ridiculous. How is this different than a blog dedicated to one particular interest? Just because there’s people in it instead of just the pictures? And they happen to be girls? Hell, the argument could even.be made that this would be reverse prejudice. Just because they’re girls who enjoy comics, you think that they’re flaunting it. Instead, they may actually just enjoy comics, and, hey! There’s a blog dedicated to girls who like comics, where they could meet other comic-loving girls, instead of all the dudes they normally get. No one ever said they were SPECIAL for liking comics. They just like comics.

Do you just argue to fucking argue? You’re really letting this get ridiculous.
Quit trying to change my mindset when I was just stating my opinion, and mocking it, for that matter. I have a bottomless well where I throw all the fucks I give about your attempt to convince me.
Not only this subject, but you as well have become a pesk.
So do me a favor and drop it.
It was funny to toy around at first, but the pile of pulp you have beaten the dead horse down to is beginning to reek.

its hard to argue with a brick wall.

Not so much a brick wall.
I’m quite open minded.
I was being playful at first, and instigating.
But of course, Rod had to come in argue, like everything else.
I don’t care if people want to brag about their hobbies, I’m just stating that it makes them look like an idiot.

GIRLS! GIRLS! YOU’RE ALL PRETTY! I SWEAR!
Seriously… I don’t know how this thing got started, but wow. Just wow.
So here are the things that this blog is about:
1) Putting faces on the women who buy comics SO GUYS CAN STOP BEING JERKS TO THEM. This blog is not about anyone being a special snowflake for liking & buying comics.
2) Trying to empower more women to stop being afraid of comic book stores & comics in general.
3) A small attempt at getting comic book publishers to make more women-friendly titles. At least in mainstream comics anyway.
4) Dudes are totally welcome to be in ANY of these photos as long as there is also a lady in them. Dudes who are supportive of their comic-buying ladies are always welcome on this blog. But lets face it: We don’t need a “Men Buying Comics” blog because we already know a LOT of men buy comics.
Honestly, I just want to see a point where women buying comics is normal. Just like guys buying comics is normal. That cool with everyone?
Hope so.

P.S. No one’s done a duck-lips photo. Except me in a picture I haven’t posted yet. It was supposed to be a super-fly pimp face, but I’m not great at making faces.
P.P.S. So I thought I wasn’t going to get it done, but I have new content for the entire week that I’m abroad. Yay!

Whoops! I meant for this to be reblogged by the Ladies Buying Comics account, but accidentally reblogged it from my personal tumblr early. So read the last response & see the original post for all the drama in the notes section.
I’m still kind of in a state of WTF, why is this such a problem about the whole thing.

what the fuck is even going on here? Why are people comparing this to the whole “GAEMER GURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL~” thing? These girls pretty obviously actually like comic books and are excited about them. They’re not posing all sexy trying to look cool, they’re just posing, and in the case of that FAB babe in the green shirt, maybe being a bit goofy.
There’s a difference between girls who are proud of their nerdiness and proud to be babes, and babes who are just trying to get attention because “geek chic” is in right now.
These babes are the former bunch who are proud of their babe-ish nerdiness, and fuck anyone who has a problem with them.

Yeah, I have no idea. Most of the ladies I’ve taken photos of are actually a little shy. They let me take their photo for the blog because they like the idea behind the blog: promoting the presence of women who love comics to bring change to the comics community.
I don’t think I even care about people being goofy in these photos. (I think the next week of content will prove that without a doubt.)

Wow, I have no idea what the argument here got started over - Even when looking through the notes, there are comments about hate being attached, but perhaps the original comments were removed?  Whatever.
The whole thing is ridiculous.  No one’s asking for special treatment here.  This isn’t about prejudice - it’s about fighting prejudice.  The kind of attitude that was apparently attached to posts from this blog is exactly WHY the world as a whole needs to see that women buy and enjoy comics.
I support you, ladiesbuyingcomics!!!!
